How it works
We use 600 BTU per m² as a Gulf-climate baseline, adjusted for sun exposure and occupants.
Formula
BTU = (area × 600 + (people − 2) × 600) × sun factor; tons = BTU / 12000
Worked example
25 m² room, normal sun, 2 people → 15,000 BTU ≈ 1.25 tons.
